Cheat Sheet on Comey’s October Surprise

comey
From b at MOA:

“The Wall Street Journal today added to its so far excellent reporting on the Clinton issues by revealing the much bigger story behind it: ‘FBI in Internal Feud Over Hillary Clinton Probe – Laptop may contain thousands of messages sent to or from Mrs. Clinton’s private server’ (open copy here).

According to the reporting, based on FBI sources, FBI agents in New York and elsewhere have been looking into the Clinton Foundation for several months. They suspect that this “charity” was selling political favors by then Secretary of State Clinton in exchange for donations that personally benefited the Clinton family.

The Justice Department blocked further aggressive investigations into the issue, allegedly because of the ongoing election. A high FBI official, Andrew McCabe, also showed disinterest in a further pursuit of the issue. McCabe’s wife had just tried to get elected as state senator and had receive a campaign donation of nearly $500,000 from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Clinton friend and at times board member of the Clinton Foundation. The FBI agents pursuing the investigation into the Clinton Foundation were not amused.

The separate investigation into former Congressman Weiner for sexual contacts with minors was looking for pedophile stuff on Weiner’s electronic devices. It didn’t find any as far as we can tell, but found some 650,000 emails archived on a laptop.

Several thousand of these emails were sent or received by Weiner’s spouse, the intimate Clinton aide Huma Abedin. They came through Clinton’s private email server. At least some of these thousands of emails are likely copies of those that were deleted from Clinton’s server when the (separate) investigation into it started. They may be evidence that Clinton sent and received classified documents through her unsecured system. Some of these emails may also contain serious dirt related to the Clinton Foundation. (It is highly likely that at least some FBI agents know “unofficially” what these emails contain. Legally they could not look at them without a warrant which they only got today.)

Thus we have three ongoing FBI investigations:

  • into Clinton’s private email-server used illegally for official State Department business;
  • into the Clinton Foundation and its role in peddling political influence in exchange for donations;
  • into the personal conduct of Anthony Weiner.

One of b’s later links went to: ‘Aide Said He Was Running ‘Bill Clinton Inc.’ in New WikiLeaks Dump’, abcnews

“A 12-page memo written by a former aide to President Bill Clinton illustrates how he and other advisers raised millions of dollars for the Clinton Foundation and the Clintons after they left the White House, according to a new batch of emails released by WikiLeaks.”

(Chelsea comes out a a good guy in part, but this is sick Slick Willie stuff:)

“Moreover, the memo revealed that Laureate International Universities, a for-profit school, was paying Bill Clinton $3.5 million annually to serve as its honorary chairman.”  How many other boards does he sit on honorarily?

From one of my faves, Renee Parsons, whose title and image I’ve appropriated:

“Since the Wikileaks emails were not a total surprise [wd here: not total, but stunning in their breadth of corruption in six different directions], it would now appear that the real October Surprise is FBI Director James B. Comey’s dramatic turn-around announcement on October 28th that the Clinton email investigation was being re-opened due to new information as a result of its investigation into Carlos Danger.

[Carlos Danger turns out to be a John Oliver schtick in which he does a Weiner impression.)

carlos_danger

“Comey, who reportedly had been privately criticized by disgruntled agents in his department for the dismissal of felony charges against Clinton, informed pertinent Congressional Committee Chairs and ranking Democrats of the renewed investigation in an unusual letter on Friday.   Acknowledging that the agency had previously “completed its investigation,” Comey said that “due to recent developments” the FBI had “learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation.”  Comey continued that after having been briefed by the FBI’s investigative team, he “agreed that the FBI should take proper investigative steps” to “determine whether they (the emails) contain classified information.”

To put the current crisis in context, several days after the FBI’s original announcement in July,  Rep. Curt Gowdy’s (R-SC) conducted a vigorous cross examination of Comey that was devastating to the FBI’s “no charge” determination and its no proof of  intent determination that was, in turn,  irreparably damaging to Secretary Clinton’s credibility.  In other words, backed into a corner by Gowdy, Comey confirmed that Clinton had misrepresented the facts.  Comey’s responses should have been front page headlines but received barely a ripple from the MSM which Wikileaks confirmed takes its marching orders from the DNC.”  [snip]

“Immediately after the July announcement when Clinton drew the Home Free card, Comey was the object of much Democratic adulation and praise for his exemplary record and trustworthiness.  However, over the weekend, the Clinton campaign launched a ferocious attack giving its media benefactors and Democratic bigwigs the green light to dump on Comey with an arsenal of steamrollers.   In keeping with the Democratic strategy of irrational verbal assaults, Senator Harry Reid (D-Nv) wrote  asserting Comey’s violation of the Hatch Act which “bars FBI officials from using their official authority to influence an election” while former DNC Chair Howard Dean declared that “Comey put himself on the same side as Putin.”

While US law bans foreign government interference in our elections, where is the outrage for Israel’s heavy hand manipulation of American electoral and policy decisions over the last twenty years?

Inexplicably there has been no hint by Democrats that Anthony Weiner may be responsible for providing the FBI with the latest batch of emails, late breaking news is that Weiner, who is looking at a possible fifteen years in the slammer, is ‘cooperating’ with the FBI and might have traded his wife’s emails for a deal.”

Who let the dogs out?  Clintonistas let the dogs out!

That ‘Weiner cooperating’ rumor: all roads I could find led to Farks News; this is the Boston Herald’s version. A few new and relevant contributions by media; some you’ll know already just from WikiLeaks’ feed, but now because: Comey…the miaow is coming further out of the bag.  The visuals add to the exposés, of course.

CNN, by the way, has ‘severed’ their relationship with Donna Brazille after seeing evidence that she’d leaked a third debate question to the Queen of Diamonds.

Highlighted: ‘Key is the development of a single record for a voter that aggregates all that is known about them.  In 2016 smart phones will be used to identify, meet, and update profiles on the voter.”  (dynamic volunteers can thus target their concerns, yada, yada)

far bigger bucks’ worth of ‘in-kind’ contributions than ‘private jet scam’; remember, money is fungible, and it’s illegal not to report it.

  1. HRC would start WW3 to save her political career. leadership you can believe in!

  2. these arrivistes are why we can’t have nice things. we need a landed, aristocratic class to rule us to preclude such gawky behavior in our betters. like the roosevelts, kennedys, or…bushies.

    • crappydiddle; i don’t have a sound icon again. but nah, only a no-fly zone over syria, and there must be other tyrants to bring down! i ♥ r2p’s!

    • “these items are for one ‘danger powers.'”
“my name is austin powers…danger is my middle name.”

no fly zones, world war 3. all in a day’s work.

  3. Gowdy represents the district that I grew up in back when it was represented by Robert Ashmore. Gowdy blew his Benghazi subcommittee witchhunt on Benghazi because he didn’t want to expose the arms shipments going out of Libya to the “moderate rebels” (Lindsey Graham’s and John McCain’s pets).

Now it is a desperate effort to if not stop Hillary Clinton, to spoil the possibility of Democrats winning downticket in Congress and legislatures. They might succeed, and the Indians (not the indigenous) might win the World Series.

Comey is not a hero in any of his publicly advertised moves; his first helped soldify warrantless wiretapping while he got credit for stopping it. As for the FBI, the ghost of J. Edgar’s politicized law enforcement still walks the halls. Just look at their performance relative to Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, voter caging, and the Bundy rebellion. They have never been impartial arbiters in politics.

So what we currently have is Comey being able to use “15-year old girl”, “sexting”, “Weiner”, and “Hillary Clinton” in a letter to Gowdy and Chaffetz. And Donald Trump facing a civil suit alleging he raped a 13-year girl, but going to court after Election Day.

We have all of Trump’s actual business dealings and angry vendors, customers, employees, and communities. And we have Clinton’s private email server.

We have Trump University’s fraudulent courses. And we have Laureate University who has some relation somehow to the Clintons.

We have the Clintons whose policies are known and disliked. And we have Trump, whose policies are essentially unknown because he keeps changing them, but which likely are constrained (or accelerated) by Republican majorities in both houses of Congress.

And we might have an intelligence community and covert operations deep state who is acting in their own interests by standing up one candidate while endorsing the other candidate. Or we might have split elites in open full-scale covert warfare.

But in the process of getting to his letter, Comey’s people in FBI might have broken the Fourth Amendment and then come back to try to clean up with a subpoena. Using underage girls ensures that there is no pushback on testimony. (Do either actually exist?) But it also waves “SCANDAL” in bright flaming pink and distracting colors across the national media. The same national media that can’t be bothered to note that Jill Stein and Gary Johnson exist unless it ties into a narrative about Clinton or Trump.

It not only discourages people from voting (likely it’s purpose), it discourages people from running for office (likely it’s bigger purpose).

Whatever happens, in the short run it’s good for the powers that be.

But I would be looking at the role of those 17 agencies in the intelligence community in this matter. (But don’t let me interrupt another chorus of “Ding, Dong, The Witch Is Dead”).

    • “I would be looking at the role of those 17 agencies in the intelligence community in this matter.”

      Please do.

    • the same 17 agencies that missed the end of the Cold war? and oh so desperately miss the Cold War? i don’t know what to make all of this, (land sharks in a feeding frenzy?) but the least trustworthy seems to be “17 intel agencies say…” since we don’t know how many intel agencies there are, maybe some disagree?

      • The “intelligence community” as advertised by the US government web site comprises 17 intelligence agencies (and there seems to be something not counted but in the Coast Guard). Reportedly those are so compartmentalized that they could be lots of left hands not knowing what lots of right hands are doing and conducting a full page of Mad’s Spy v. Spy totally with the intelligence community (IC pronounced “icy”) or totally within a single agency of the IC. Nice full employment program to swallow up what amounts to $60 billion of college graduate type jobs. There have be lots of novels about the day when it evolves its own political position and strategy to defend its interests and even more about factions acting to control that strategy and the definition of that interest unrelated to its mission of defense of the USA.

They created the start of the Cold War but missed its end. Yes.

        • ha. (IC pronounced “icy”) how quaint, no? like ‘foggy bottom’ or collegial nicknames in ivy league schools, likely mirroring the british toffs in jeeves and wooster. the shrink hostage negotiator in rax’s video is said to have coauthored tom clancy’s books, by the by. those some of which you speak? i’ve forgotten them, or more akin to the ‘smiley’ series? oh, never mind, i’m getting carried away.

but i did track down the hillshrew’s mention:

“Hillary Clinton in last night’s presidential debate tried to avoid talking about the substance of the damaging WikiLeaks disclosures of DNC and Clinton campaign officials by claiming 17 U.S. intelligence agencies determined that Russia was responsible for this. After Clinton made this claim, she scolded Trump for challenging U.S. intelligence professionals who have taken an oath to help defend this country.”

i ended up at the new yawker briefly earlier, and found: ‘Queen Offers to Restore British Rule Over United States’; andy borowitz

“Addressing the American people from her office in Buckingham Palace, the Queen said that she was making the offer “in recognition of the desperate situation you now find yourselves in.”

“This two-hundred-and-forty-year experiment in self-rule began with the best of intentions, but I think we can all agree that it didn’t end well,” she said.
The Queen urged Americans to write in her name on Election Day, after which the transition to British rule could begin “with a minimum of bother.”

          think i might write her in… ;-)

    • 4 now, cuz bonkers eyes, oof! ” (But don’t let me interrupt another chorus of “Ding, Dong, The Witch Is Dead”).

i’d been about to enter this when i needed to rest my eyes:

i hadn’t gotten the significance of these earlier:

      but from paraxia at MOA:

      “The cover-up begins.
John Podesta’s Best Friend At The DOJ Will Be In Charge Of The DOJ’s Probe Into Huma Abedin Emails

“In the letter to Congress, the DOJ writes that it “will continue to work closely with the FBI and together, dedicate all necessary resources and take appropriate steps as expeditiously as possible,” assistant attorney General Peter J. Kadzik writes in letters to House and Senate lawmakers.
      snip
The day after Hillary Clinton testified in front of the House Select Committee on Benghazi last October, John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign chairman met for dinner with a small group of well-connected friends, including Peter Kadzik, who is currently a top official at the US Justice Department serving as Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs.
      snip
…the dinner arrangement “is just the latest example of an apparent conflict of interest between the Clinton campaign and the federal agency charged with investigating the former secretary of state’s email practices.” As one former U.S. Attorney tells told the DC, the exchanges are another example of the Clinton campaign’s “cozy relationship” with the Obama Justice Department.

The hacked emails confirm that Podesta and Kadzik were in frequent contact. …Kadzik and Podesta, who were classmates at Georgetown Law School…[snip]
It gets better because, as we further revealed, if there is one person in the DOJ who is John Podesta’s, and thus the Clinton Foundation’s inside man, it is Peter Kadjik.

Kadzik represented Podesta during the Monica Lewinsky investigation. And in the waning days of the Bill Clinton administration, Kadzik lobbied Podesta on behalf of Marc Rich, the fugitive who Bill Clinton controversially pardoned on his last day in office. That history is cited by Podesta in another email hacked from his Gmail account. In a Sept. 2008 email, which the Washington Free Beacon flagged last week, Podesta emailed an Obama campaign official to recommend Kadzik for a supportive role in the campaign. Podesta, who would later head up the Obama White House transition effort, wrote that Kadzik was a “fantastic lawyer” who “kept me out of jail.”

Nothing to see here. Business as usual.”

      • “both in G’town law.” it really is a cozy little club ain’t it?

        • downright incestuous, isn’t it? dem elites, well mebbe all elites, take care of their own, as we’ve long known. how many governments are paying podesta per month is also purdy funny. too bad they all won’t be able to take it with them to the grave, eh?

        • Two hundred years ago it was between William & Mary and Harvard, with sometimes spoilers from the backwoods. Always been a cozy club. Allen Dulles’s CIA was reportedly mostly Ivy League. Bill Clinton is Georgetown and Yale Law. Hillary is Wellesley and Yale Law.

          Real cozy.

      • “panaraxia”, comrade.

Messing with you. (S)he is not me.

  4. In case you didn’t catch my point about Gowdy. He’s truly creepy, regardless of his political ideology.

  5. Another hurdle to fascism crossed:

    • could you provide the cliffs notes, comrade rax? finally scored a sound icon, but even the part you’ve brought is an hour long. dude’s wiki bio looks estimable.

      • The first minute describes Trump’s evocation of “businessmen will make Amurka great” – Sheehan says “we’ve seen [this theme] in it’s fruition in Germany”.

These course lectures are very useful. Each lecture has a precis.

        • “the nazis made sure the trains ran on time.” crazy shit, and at one ‘progressive’ website, the host is touting peter thiel’s video advocacy for T-man for prez. silicon valley is voting for the queen of diamonds, doesn’t sir paypal know? thru the looking glass for certain. and i saw at CP: michael moore is anglin’ for a position in the queen’s admin’. works fer me, lol. ‘cept he’s too…girthy to be considered. ah…scotus: and a black robe?

on edit: i’d forgotten to say thanks’. so: thank you, rax.

          • hard to know what all that means but peter thiel is a deep, Deep State guy (you know, funding by CIA for state fronts palantir, facebook, etc. oh yeah, real self-made businessman.) i think he professes to be openly gay. (hurray for assholes!) Speculation, but i’ve thought some elements of The State must show support for The Apprentice or the nigh-unanimity of support for Mrs. Mutually-Assured-Destruction would raise eyebrows. the dog-and-pony-carnival-freak-show elections have been very useful for a long, long time. Some people may be astute enough to realize that just throwing all the $$ at the Killbot and having all the non-National Review editorial pages endorse her is not a good idea. the best bet is to keep managing the stage & don’t close the curtains on the scheisse show just yet.

            • Wow, so Hiltlery even defeats the revolution of Intelligent Agents? That’s some risky feinting.

              • no, i’m sure peter thiel has sincere beliefs about how much better Trump will be for his various CIA-front businesses & investments than Queen anti-Russian Hysteria. how could you go wrong playing roulette w/a blowhard casino mogul, real estate swindler and “you’re fired” reality-TV dipshit? maybe he was taken in by the glories & peaks of success to be achieved by internalizing the Sinai of revelations from “Trump’s” “The Art of the Deal?”

                • The Art of the Deal, comrade? The risky business I am referring to is for Pieczenik to front an IC campaign against Clinkton only to have it be a feint. It’s all mind-boggling but I don’t think you’ve nailed the certainty in this clusterfuck.

            • i dunno; i can’t quite see it ‘a plan’, although thiel’s meager million+ contribution is half of what he gave fiorina, i forget what to ron paul. dwarfs the rest of the silicon valley contributions to the queen, of course. but what i just read at usa on him sayin’ about trump was he opposes trade deals (didn’t headlines say he’d reversed himself on that?), and he wants to make amerika ‘normal’ again. oh, and gives to club for growth, anti-taxers.

if there’s anything this iteration of the circus has shown is that the whole system is corrupt, illegitimate, the msm are in the tank for the wall street queen, and that: salacious headlines win every time, perhaps even more than ‘if it bleeds, it leads’.

          • didn’t WSJ & Chicago Tribune just suggest that HRC step aside? for the good of the nation? probably all part of a strategy to lull China & Russia into a soothing nap listening to Pres. Tim Kaine drone on about American values. B/n him & John Kerry, maybe US strategy is really to bore them to death? (no, it’s to bore *us* to death.)

            • fingers did the walking and…yes, chicago times called for that; but the wsj told T to ‘fix your campaign, or step aside’. now kaine: would he be as tractable as his face indicates? looks like he’s still tryin’ to pretend to laff about not being invited to birthday parties. makes a clown face, doesn’t he, to show how afable he is? srsly, i haven’t even read anything about him.

ooops; had to giggle to make sure he was “with her”; guess the other one’s pence. along the way i found this wondering where ‘she’ is today, and who’s with her.

(but it is for her and bill, ha.)

              • caught a few minutes too many, more than zero, of Trump’s speech just now. “Bay of Pigs” award, indeed. “We are going to deal w/Castro & Venezuela & ISIS and…” he’ll say some kind of truthful things (“the middle east is a disaster,”) in order to spin this web of complete fantasy bullshit (“we’ll fix the inner cities by cutting corporate taxes”.) “Hilary’s policies in Syria will lead to war w/-nuke armed Russia….when i’m Commander in Chief, we will rebuild our military to the most awesome destructive force, i mean force for good, this universe has ever seen.” (both candidates pretend to not have a clue about the size of the US military budget, its role in propping up the economy, etc.) and much of what he says about Obama/HRC is just absolute nonsense. (“she supports sanctuary cities.”) He’ll chicken peck and scratch at *some* of the wikileaks stuff, sure, but even then, there’s a lot of knowing misdirection (“she used a private server!!!” who gives a fuck?) and his anti-immigrant/anti-islam hysteria makes the obama/HRC dismember/drone/deport policies sound humane. still, as some MSDNC ventriloquist dummy said a while back, “Trump’s immigration policies will largely continue those of Obama.” no kidding. i think part of what disturbs people about Trump is not what he “plans” to do but that he speaks bluntly about things the US is *already doing*. his “law & order”, anti-immigrant, corporate tax-cutting, remilitarizing, “fixing the schools” (i.e., more charters), etc., etc., is a verbalization of what is already really going on, even as he says things like HRC wants to let a million Syrian terrorists into the country. to a very large degree (curiously, not so much re Russia), he denies the operant conditions of the country in order to assert the future benefits of those very same conditions. cops have not gun nuts in this country, no, they are under siege from Obama’s lesbo NPR transgender nannies, but w/Donald as prez, they will go nuts. and it will be manly & great. “Hillary promises more of the same [duh.] w/me, you’ll get some accurate descriptions of the conditions of most people in this country, w/denial of most of the forces that bro’t you here, in order to reassert those same forces as the solution. see how different from HRC I am?”

                hope all that makes sense.

and ‘Investigating Donald Trump, F.B.I. Sees No Clear Link to Russia’, the paper of record
“F.B.I. officials spent weeks examining computer data showing an odd stream of activity to a Trump Organization server and Alfa Bank. Computer logs obtained by The New York Times show that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages — a first step for one system’s computers to talk to another — to a Trump-connected server beginning in the spring. But the F.B.I. ultimately concluded that there could be an innocuous explanation, like a marketing email or spam, for the computer contacts.
The most serious part of the F.B.I.’s investigation has focused on the computer hacks that the Obama administration now formally blames on Russia. That investigation also involves numerous officials from the intelligence agencies. Investigators, the officials said, have become increasingly confident, based on the evidence they have uncovered, that Russia’s direct goal is not to support the election of Mr. Trump, as many Democrats have asserted, but rather to disrupt the integrity of the political system and undermine America’s standing in the world more broadly.”

so longer…no evidence, but still: roosia/wikileaks innuendo.

      • Sputnik:

Speaking to Sputnik Turkey, Kaynak heaped praise on what he touted as Putin’s “balanced and constructive stance” which he said is of great importance to developing bilateral relations between Turkey and Russia.

Kaynak underscored the importance of normalizing relations between the two countries, touting Moscow as Ankara’s strategic partner.

      • “Operation Euphrates Shield against Daesh in Syria was implemented thanks to an agreement between Turkey and Russia. Moscow is our important partner, both in the energy and trade sectors, and in terms of regional policy. Putin’s statement [during the Valdai Club session] was another indication of Russia’s political will to swiftly return to the pre-crisis level of bilateral cooperation,” he said.

Separately referring to Gulen, Kaynak said that it is impossible to realize and accept the fact that the leader of the criminal group masterminded the attempted coup in Turkey while living in the US, Turkey’s strategic ally.

“In this vein, a statement by Putin deserves approval and plays a significant role from the point of view of bolstering bilateral relations between Turkey and Russia,” he pointed out.
        See what I mean?

        • well, yes, the language of diplomacy and profit pragmatism aligned w/ geopolitics. that turkey has russia’s blessing to rout the kurd groups surprises me, although i mix up the acronyms easily. i thought it had been decided that turkey and the west’s fanciful ‘free syrian army (and white helmet carnage, not saving lives’) was another western con.

but i might just need to stfu since i have no basic understanding of the players, no matter how many times thd or anyone here hands me the primer. the sole things that did make sense to the contentions in the article were: if russia isn’t bombing aleppo, won’t; and this:

“The sources said that the Assad regime will consolidate its power in Latakia and Tartus. But Russia insisted on withdrawing of Al-Nursa and Ahrar ush-Sham fractions from the area.”

          • and today at RT: ‘‘You can’t break out’: Russia to open corridors for militants to leave Aleppo on Friday’

            • The referenced article by Gowans is long but a must-read.

Draitser might be running under a false flag. It’s notable that Western proles can commiserate with Syrian neoliberal oppression and are susceptible to support revolution of the “more volatile” Near-Orientals. Draitser’s neolib story exploits the Western left – gives them a little katharsis and, while they equivocate, undermines the Syrian state which was probably not infected by neoliberalism as badly as their own pathetic governments.

              Clever, huh?

Similarly, Unrepentant Marxist Louis Proyect has been propagating his mystifying shtick and browbeating fake leftists for supporting the tyrant Assad. Aren’t they both clandestine fifth columnists?

    • Russia’s direct goal is not to support the election of Mr. Trump, as many Democrats have asserted, but rather to disrupt the integrity of the political system and undermine America’s standing in the world more broadly.

Boo Hoo, Russia laughed when I fell, Daddy. Will you go beat him up for me?

    • ho he; given the title, i was surprised to see:

“The current president, Petro Poroshenko, is a billionaire tycoon, but promised a new, more transparent kind of politics. Critics say reform efforts have stalled and that despite impressive rhetoric, the government has done little to transform the fundamental nature of Ukrainian business and politics.

Setting up the electronic declaration system was one of a number of conditions laid down by the EU as requirements to ensure a visa liberalisation deal for Ukrainians. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the former secretary general of Nato, who is an adviser to Poroshenko, said: “Ukraine has taken a crucial step to break with corruption and ensure a clean and efficient public administration. The e-declaration is of paramount importance and all of Europe should take notice and applaud this important step.”
Poroshenko called the declarations “a truly historic event of openness and transparency”.

the kyiv post had touted: ‘kyiv going after elites’ or close; nato had congratulated them for another step toward membership (being ‘under our umbrella’ or ‘friend of nato…isn’t quite enough, is it? loans from banks so they can contribute whatever percentage of gdp to military expenditures seems crucial , but fair. ;-)

last diary i went to nato for some reason, and found: ““#Ukraine is key to Euro-Atlantic security http://bit.ly/2e51s1w“. well, sure, because: putin proxy whazzit.

      • Ukraine is key to US security/strategery because it sits near enough to Russia’s Black Sea major military base to make it local calls between them. Like having Russia’s ally with an eye on Norfolk Naval Base be the breakaway state of Pennsylvania.

Yes, the self-congratulation of the transparent oligarchs is entertaining.

Building the hard boundary of military conflict that keeps the soft power of One Belt/One Road from extending to Lisbon and Rotterdam and Copenhagen. Mackinder and Spykman drive US geopolitical understanding; nothing less superficial than those. Who controls Oceania/Rimland controls the periphery. Who controls Eurasia/Heartland controls the World (with a capital W). Fear/greed together.

        • you and pepe are two who can (seemingly easily) visualize the obor and pipelineistan corridors with ease; wish i could. and oceania and the south china sea/american lake challenges between nato/china aren’t in the news much, but key nonetheless. duterte’s gone from ‘no negotiations’ to ‘well, okay, let’s stick a pin in that for now, bejing’, love to have some of yur investment money’. by the by, did you see that zimbabwe has decided to put yuan in its basket of currencies (though ive forgotten the incentive, because AIIB?)? aaaaaand…. (carpo is a scotus justice i discovered)

  7. Shite. I must have had premonitions.

In 1977, Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Mary McGrory described Stephen Pieczenik as “one of the most ‘brilliantly competent’ men in the field of terrorism”.[14] He worked “side by side” with Police Chief Maurice J. Cullinane in the Washington, D.C. command center of Mayor Walter Washington during the 1977 Hanafi Siege.[15] In 1978, Pieczenik was known as “a psychiatrist and political scientist in the U.S. State Department whose credentials and experiences are probably unique among officials handling terrorist situations”

    etc.

    • so he’s implying that the cia gave assange the emails, isn’t he? he named three (?) agencies, then ‘and fifteen other ones’? is that this number tarheeldem was mentioning? i do remember on wikileaks folks kinda laughing at hillary’s use of ’17’ agencies accompanied by lists, but i didn’t pay much attention.

i’d missed your ‘etc.’ hyperlink to wiki, and had gone to an ‘about pieczenik’ page quite similar to da wiki. but before that, i watched a number of other videos about this soft counter-coup, most of them…alex jones and friends. my stars, jones is almost incoherent with fast talkin’ nervous energy.

tales of hillary’s lesbian exploits, or some term past that, their murder of vince foster and their fixer jeff rovin. it does seem that they’re heavily invested in not only queering the queen’s being in the oval, but having trump at the resolute desk. it may have been jones who claimed that she’s a chinese double agent, oh my. their collective fervor is awesome, really; w/ steve it’s quiet and intense, w/ jones one can almost hear claxons in the air and see lights flashing: “It’s ON!” i dunno amigo, if it’s on, will we only know on twitter by de-followings?

the fbi did dump clinton files on marc rich onto their twitter vault or such, but rt is reporting there’s not much there. pt I of 5, i think they said.clearly there is a war of sorts going on within the fbi, and between them and Justice, though. after my toast i’ll look at that again.

      • any further thoughts on Pieczenik, rax? jason’s trumpista channeling made my stomach hurt (not his fault), esp. cuba and venezuela, guns and negroes, charter schools…i need a west!

still, will it be the silent counter-coup adherents who will (ahem) challenge the validity of election results should the ovien queen (h/t jason) ‘win’? even given trump. i’m not sure but what i’d delight in his winning (considering a few caveats to his questionable access to the levers of power, wrong-thinking or not).

whose second revolution might prevail? i shudder to think. far larger subject, of course: ‘will there be demagogues?’ give us our soma!

  8. Insert anonymous sources and the plot thickens.

    https://www.buzzfeed.com/davidmack/heres-an-open-letter-to-james-comey?utm_term=.dulz25ewj#.oqj9nb8vr

Supposedly a letter to Comey from the 15-year-old who was sexting with Weiner.

    Key point.
“I told my story originally to protect other young girls that might be a victim of online predators.

Your letter to Congress has now brought this whole matter back into the media spotlight. Not even 10 minutes after being forensically interviewed with the FBI for seven hours, I received a phone call from a REPORTER asking for a statement. Why didn’t you communicate with the local FBI agents that I had just spoken to? They could have scheduled our interview sooner or scheduled a time to interview me later, or change locations of the interview. My neighborhood has been canvassed by reporters asking for details about me.

…In his “cooperation” with you and with his love of the spotlight, Anthony Weiner has given information that led to the media finding me. You have assisted him in further victimizing me on every news outlet. I can only assume that you saw an opportunity for political propaganda.

I thought your job as FBI Director was to protect me.

…The election is important, yes, but what happened to me and how it makes me feel and how others see me, is much more important. It’s time that the FBI Director puts his victims’ rights above political views.”

Given the anonymous sources in the reporting, is this a media creation or does this person actually exist? On the internet one does not know.

But that was just the sucker punch to put the emails back in the news.

    • fuck. childhood sex trauma? AMBER ALERT!!!! CHILD ENDANGERED???? is it “minor”? HELP US FIND THE MISSING & EXPLOITED CHILD!!! breakfast milk cartons to the rescue! or Jon Boner Ramsey will have died in vain! (gasp!)

childhood predation occurs, clearly, and epstein types enable powerful men (sic) to get away with it. pity the poor girl, don’t get hung up on this lurid shit. every since Nicholas Christ-off bought that one kid out of sex slavery, the childhood sex trade is up up up! no small part of it occurring around US/NATO/UN army bases. (Wait! NBC is running FBI-produced child porn to “Catch a Predator!” gawd, there was something in Orwell about sexual hysteria & panic & manipulating the pops.)

    • great point. the woman who ran into the press pool office in libya, told a rather sill horror story…disappeared. but you’d mentioned the T-man having been accused of rape. afterward, i’d run into a guardian piece about the trial date, noting that the G had been skeptical as the origin of the charges was a jerry springer producer or some such. how many more willie horton-ish tales will there be, and haven’t most peeps voted already?

      • the crimes of comey/hrc/trump types are against classes of people. and they damn well know it. that they would also personally commit crimes against individuals, exploit them, re-traumatize them, etc., etc. yeah, not surprising. the willingness to commit crimes against classes of people sometimes engenders the expectation in the perpetrator that crimes against individuals will be overlooked, whitewashed, justified, etc.

        • interesting formulation i hadn’t considered, jason, but mebbe so. all those homilies about power and even the layers of human just below Big Power striving to get moar of it are too true. the sexual ingredient really bothers me, both in the exercising of it, and that salacious charges are impossible to erase in this society. mcclatchy, i believe, brought the ‘strange tale’ of the fake dating site trying to honeytrap assange into pedophilia or some such. clinton operatives, as i remember it, but mixed in were ‘facts’ that the russians gave him a million bucks to extricate himself…or some such rubbish.

    • O my gawdness, Comer is exploiting a sexually exploited teenager.

  9. Some Pieczenikian gems:

The brave people of Britain spoke with their votes and determined that they wanted to leave an antiquated, disruptive entity: the EU.In November, we, Americans, will have to determine our future. Do we want to stick with the past, or do we enter the future [Trump]?

Yes Trump! It must be Trump!

The major issue of our times is that the nation state in the Information Age is antiquated. Twenty years ago, in the Tom Clancy’s NET FORCE series, I postulated/predicted that the internet would create new viable political/economic entities like “Cybernation” and “Cyber-Terrorism” with the concomitant suppressive powers of “Net Force” [read NSA, Cyber Command, etc.].The future has a certain inherent logic to its evolution.

See, NSA is our info-lord, policing the cyberworld and torturing cyber-terrorists.

In reality, we see that the Senate consists of a body of legislators who really have very little to do. They spend a lot of time supposedly ‘studying issues’ and unnecessarily spending a fortune traveling to distant places. These junkets costs the tax-payer millions!

It’s time for Americans to demand an end to the Senate officers because they do nothing and cost us a fortune. More importantly, they are a body of deadbeats who are antiquated and irrelevant to the running the federal government. At the very least, TERM LIMITS! no more than 3 six year terms. The reason they stay there forever is because its an easy, well paid life with little accountability and a big fat pension.

As the internet advances in scope, we will eventually be able to vote for any bill or piece of legislation without having to send someone to Washington DC to do nothing but occupy space and waste money.

The cybernetic globalists will replace your inefficient government with their profitable global cyberministrators. It’s patented! Everyprole is thinkin’ theys got to be protected from the robots but these lords will be protecting us from untrustworthy grifters like Hiltlery Clinkton. HA HA HA HA HA HA.

Rubio is the prime example of the ‘can’t do nothing candidate’ as he once described the major problem of the antiquated body called the U.S. Senate. It’s time to rid ourselves of unnecessary institutions, bureaucracies and federal organizations which amount to nothing more than a welfare state of empty promises and absurd costs.

Beginning to see the outlines of American Revolution part 2 (AKA The Geocyber Revolution?

There was a time when the asymmetry of egregious Presidential power was swiftly realigned with little concern and much alacrity. The assassination of JFK was such an incident. He was completely incapable of functioning on a personal/professional level, fueled by amphetamines, steroids and other daily injections which literally made him psychotic.

!O!Lawdy!Gawd! Don’t let this man write your history books.

When Nixon had centralized too much power in the WH, he was summarily dismissed with the sudden appearance of the Watergate Crisis, concocted by the IC. Even the beloved Ronald Reagan could not avoid the contrived wrath of a John Hinckley, a distraught member of a wealthy family closely allied with the nefarious Bush gang of criminals.

Oops. Shumptin shometime goes wrong with that swifty bidness.

So the cycle of tyrants [the torment of republicans again] continues to end in abrupt moments of history managed by some unpronounceable [“Unutterable” more appropriate] stealth or connivance [in geocyberministration, tyrant management will be obviated!] Obama [The Black Narcissus] has tempted fate far too long with his pathetic ineptitude and miscreant deeds.
    [!!!]
What are we to do with this novitiate who had neither talent, nor past accomplishments to properly deserve the time-honored tradition of the Presidency? Obama and his WH advisors have brought us to the brink of domestic and foreign violence that once had seemed so far away.

Well, we have to concede Peacenik a point for his rejection of violence, don’t we? From his youtube performance I diagnose early logopenic PPA; it appears to affect his blogging as well but can usefully betray his disposition.

    More later.

    • i’ll try to read it later. ;-)

    • a) Cybernetics is means to liberate deep state assassins from their Platonic/Aristotelian damnation to interruption of democracy’s degeneration.

      b) Their philosopher king, Trump, is frontman for tyranny.

      c) Who is protecting Hiltlery from these assassins?
