‘Trump: Get ready Russia, missiles will be coming at Syria, nice and new and ‘smart’!’ via RT, 11 Apr, 2018 11:06

… and then he tweets that there’s no reason to be mad at Russia!
… And then blames the bad blood on Mueller!
Truly hard to believe.
thanks, greyson. truly through the looking glass, down the rabbi hole, past orwellian nutbaggery.
i took your second one over yonder; someone had brought the ‘russia needs our help w/ their economy’ one.
‘Two weeks since WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange silenced by Ecuador
By Niles Niemuth’, 11 April 2018
“In days leading up to his silencing, Assange released statements questioning the official narrative spun by the UK government around the alleged poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal by Russia. He had also tweeted links to the WSWS series exposing the unprecedented number of former CIA agents running as Democrats in the US midterm elections.
It is no coincidence that Assange has been shut off from any form of communication with the outside world as the US and its allies prepare for an escalation of the war in Syria and for direct confrontations with nuclear-armed Russia. The censorship of oppositional voices that are critical of the official narrative is seen as necessary to selling new wars to the public.”
http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2018/04/11/cens-a11.html
wsws authors had also taken notice that the sites purporting to be ‘leftist’ hadn’t mentioned skipal, alleged gas attacks in douma, and wait until they get a load of this ‘un, retweeted by my favorite tankie.
covering a lot of the same territory.

but hey, look at a map. Syria, last I heard, is on the other side of the planet. not to go off on a tangent, but that’s also close to Russia (which, I had 3 Evergreen College students tell me, is itself a “continent.” no wait, where is China again???) geography matters. US interest on the other side of the planet could never ever be anything but thievery. and rape. I mean, every time Nikki Haley opens her mouth, it’s a war crime.
this is the beginning of a longish history of the deeply pernicious influence of Ukraine’s Nazis on the US. the link at CP is about the same in re Canada.

“I saw a beast with a wound that was healed,” the blind seer of Patmos. how did all these Nazis wash up on N American shores? oh, and a few in S America, too? wound up running all the security services of W Europe, and many of the state-level cabinets, too, right after the war? even holding the highest office in the land, a mere 30 years after the war’s end? how does that happen again? somebody has to heal the wounded beast, right?
i’m on a revenge kick now, so I note that part of the reason to attack Syria is “Assad must be punished.” Yeah, he also needed to be punished for…suppressing? interfering with? the “free elections” of 2011. and before you know it he needs to be punished for “using chemical weapons on his own people!!!!” (meh, probably less high fructose corny syrup in Syria than here.) there is no boundary to revenge, which is why the hurdles to be crossed to not have one’s society destroyed always change.
and what is the original crime? that Syria exists at all in any way as an entity outside of Western domination. the same crime as the polar bear. so revenge means annihilation, the destruction of Syria. and like all revenge fantasies, what results when the vengeful goal is finally achieved? a big pile of nothing. nothingness. what will Ahab get if he gets his whale? at best, a gold doubloon, the one he himself tempted everyone on the ship with.
the US is tempting other countries, France & England & Canada esp, to get in on the spoils of war. playing revenge fantasies & lust for wealth. I can think of another character, whose name is Jacob, the heel grabber, the one who ensnares others, who advises. “Put money in thy purse; follow thou the wars.”
ah, jeez, j. lotta reading, and i am in such dire need of some zzzleeep, perchance *not* to dream right now. i’ll come back, but it’s proving a bit unwieldy to answer comments in two venues. i shouldda already brought few things over here i’d stuck in over yonder.
thanks for the angry arab; i agree w/ most of his tweets. but this makes be curious only cuz i have no idea who robert ford is:
the intercept citing amb. robert ford and an expert on syria? throw in tom friedman. ford’s john bolton w/o the mustache.
from the last diary, a commenter a MoA had said greenwalds was on DN! yapping about how assad obviously gassed douma. he was on with tucker carlson after his now famous rant against ‘fake news’ on a gas attack, as per
russia insider. and yet, they have the ‘‘Glenn Greenwald: Evidence That Assad Used Gas ‘Overwhelming’ – Amy Goodman Agrees!’, Greenwald just said something completely crazy; Charles Bausman, april 9
https://russia-insider.com/en/glenn-greenwald-evidence-assad-used-gas-overwhelming-amy-goodman-agrees/ri23031
but anyway, haley’s utterances as war crimes: egads, yes. the russian envoy to the UN told her stop calling elected governments ‘regimes’. it was a cool moment.
pt. III or so, lol. the popagnda essay is far 2 L 2 read now, and although the CP piece is shorter, all i could do was scan. and yes: freeland and trudeau. but a commenter also left this link to the times of israel on the ‘leave syria in 6 months???’ phone call between bibi and orange julius that’s illuminating as once again, syria is the way to persia, not just The Bear.

meanwhile, as per Rt: “Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed hope that “common sense” will eventually prevail in the modern world, which is becoming “more chaotic.” The current international situation is very troubling, he added.
“The state of world affairs invokes nothing but concerns, the situation in the world is becoming more chaotic,” Putin said on Wednesday during a ceremony to welcome new ambassadors to Russia.
Nevertheless, we still hope that common sense will eventually prevail and international relations will enter a constructive course, the entire world system will become more stable and predictable.”
Moscow will continue to advocate strengthening “global and regional” security, and will fully adhere to its “international responsibilities and develop cooperation with our partners on a constructive and respectful basis.
“We will pursue a positive, future-oriented agenda for the world; and work to ensure stable development, prosperity and the flourishing of mankind,” Putin said.
Putin’s statements came shortly after a new batch of threats from by his US counterpart.” from RT

and so as to keep this diary as simple as possible, i’d added a few things in a comment over yonder, including this as a FWIW: ‘Come Out For #SpringAgainstWar, April 14-15, Everywhere’, worldbeyondwar.org
http://worldbeyondwar.org/come-out-for-springagainstwar-april-14-15-everywhere/
one or two folks over yonder saying ‘we have to stop them’, but i don’t reckon ‘they’ give a rat’s ass what the rabble think, and wth? they pick the tax days? me, i practically have to have a gun at my head to do them, and the gun is ‘the due date’.
okay, i just checked the hands of syria # and no war on russia, and here’s sanders huckabee:
yeah, okay. 2 minutes. can’t find it all, but here’s cbs news’s take on it: ‘Sarah Sanders says no decisions have been made yet on Syria’, cbsnews.com
i’d imagine they indeed are repositioning their assets. nothing on sanders press briefing yet, but maybe i should have checked c-span. i’ll go do that. but unless it’s a limited strike, i wouldn’t think he/they’d tip their hands, would you? did they last year?
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/
on edit: nope, but didn’t there used to be two s-span channels?
so we got sarah sanders announcing ‘nothing’s been decided’, and now mad dog, yeah, yeah, via RT: yeah, yeah, via RT a bit ago: ‘Having second thoughts? Mattis says US ‘still assessing intelligence’ on alleged Syria attack’
https://www.rt.com/usa/423857-mattis-syria-intelligence-trump/
what a fine time to hit syria, crimea, iran, eh? with that cheery thought, here’s tonight’s closing lullaby: “war, chirren…it’s just a shot away…”
