Fun with AOC, Sanders, & #Drop Out Biden

In my
April 20 diary concerning AOC endorsing and serving Biden on April 19, including being willing to attending rallies with him.  I’d added in comments:

AOC says she is ‘having conversations with Biden’s team’ over policyApril 16, 2020, nypost.com

“Speaking to Politico, AOC offered some praise of Biden, specifically that she was heartened by his pledge to name a female running mate and his interest in that person being of color.
The Democratic socialist went on to advise the presumptive nominee on what type of woman he should choose.”

Meanwhile Kamala (the Lotus Flower) Harris was raising money for him (hint, hint).

Further down in comments I’d added:  ‘I’d Take Her In A Heartbeat’: Joe Biden Says He Would Pick Michelle Obama To Be His Vice President‘, April 20, 2020, pittsburgcbslocal.com

“I don’t think she has any desire to live near the White House again,” Biden added.” […]

Biden told KDKA he would not commit to a woman of color on his ticket.

“I’ll commit to that be a woman because it is very important that my administration look like the public, look like the nation. And there will be, committed that there will be a woman of color on the Supreme Court, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a vice president, as well,” Biden said. [<how’s that for word salad?]

“I think it’s really important now that we establish once and for all, we should have had a woman president already, in Hilary (Clinton), in my view,” Biden added. “There are a number of qualified women out there.”

#Ruh-roh.

Okay; on with the New Bread and Circuses!

Listen: New Audio ‘Evidence’ Emerges Against Biden in Sexual Assault Allegation’, April 25, sputniknews.com

“A new report from The Intercept’s Ryan Grim on Friday offered credibility to Tara Reade’s story on then-Senator Biden’s alleged 1993 sexual assault, as well as her claim to have confided in multiple people about it at the time, which she detailed in a previous interview with the outlet.

Grim noted that in one interview, Reade said that three people – her mother, brother and friend – previously knew of the allegations. While the brother and friend confirmed their knowledge of the alleged assault, her mother passed away in 2016.

However, Reade mentioned in her first interview with podcast host Katie Halper, as well as to The Intercept, that her mother had called into “Larry King Live” and talked about her and the experience. With the assistance of a podcast listener, The Intercept was able to find the episode in question, which was King’s program on August 11, 1993, entitled “Washington: The Cruelest City on Earth?” […]

I wonder what a staffer would do besides go to the press and in Washington. My daughter has just left there after working for a prominent senator and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could’ve done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him,” the California caller detailed.

Reade took to Twitter Friday evening to confirm it was indeed her mother speaking in the video, originally posted by journalist Rich McHugh.

This is my mom. I miss her so much and her brave support of me. https://t.co/okU80kqWAI

Reade formally filed a criminal complaint earlier this month regarding the 1993 assault and has communicated that she is willing to testify under oath and cooperate with law enforcement if deemed necessary. At the time of the incident, Biden represented the state of Delaware in the US Senate, having started in 1973. He left office in 2009, when he was elected to the vice presidency.”

Then Biden’s non-denial denial; but this is fabulous from his Communications Director:

“He firmly believes that women have a right to be heard — and heard respectfully. Such claims should also be diligently reviewed by an independent press. What is clear about this claim: it is untrue. This absolutely did not happen,” Bedingfield’s statement on behalf of Biden read, as reported by NPR.

Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer who has accused former US Vice President Joe Biden of a sexual assault dating back to 1993 has vented her disappointment over CNN anchor Anderson Cooper failing to ask the 2020 presidential election candidate about the allegation on two occasions, reported Fox News.” […]

“Since that time, Joe Biden has given around a dozen TV interviews with a plethora of news anchors, including NBC News’ Chuck Todd, ABC News‘ George Stephanopoulos, and on two occasions with Anderson Cooper. Not one, laments Reade, questioned the 2020 Democratic presumptive nominee about her public claim.” […]

“Tara Reade’s story first resurfaced on 25 March in an interview with podcast host Katie Halper.

Reade claimed Biden assaulted her in a Senate corridor, putting his hand under her skirt and penetrated her with his fingers.”

And FWIW: ‘Active investigation: DC police probe sexual assault allegation against Joe Biden’, April 21, 2020, washingtonexaminer.com

“The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia is actively investigating the complaint against Joe Biden brought by Tara Reade, the woman who accused Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993, despite her allegation being impossible to prosecute since it is past the statute of limitations.

“This is an active, ongoing investigation, and there are no further details to provide at this time,” a Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson told the Washington Examiner Tuesday regarding Reade’s case. “Cases that are handled by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit go through a multi-review prior to being assigned a disposition. This case is progressing through the review process.”

The investigation remaining open, despite the alleged incident occurring past the statute of limitations, struck multiple experts as highly unusual.”

Now some have been positing that this newly discovered recording had caused Bernie Sanders supporters to make #DropOutBiden to Trend on Twitter. It seems to be so.

And I’d sure like to know: who let the shadow-banning dogs out on Twitter, Jack Dorsey?
